My Favorite Trailers

I love watching trailers. I literally could spend hours going through them, and truth be told, I'm one of those types of people that could watch ten of them before the movie starts.

So in honor of what I like, for today's post, I'm going to share some of my favorite trailers.

For me, the key to a good trailer is the music. Frankly, in my opinion, the music is everything.

I love the music (John Murphy) in the X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer, which is actually from a movie called Sunshine by Danny Boyle.

I would post the new hobbit teaser, but it has not been released. Instead, I will post the old Hobbit teaser from the Desolation of Smaug.

Again, the music, which I love, as well as the action scenes, make this one of my favorites as well. The music is Age of Dragons by Sonic Machine.

All I can say is: the Music. The first part is called Immortal Memory by Lisa Gerrard and Patrick Cassidy. It then turns to music from Elizabeth: The Golden Age. The song is called Storm by Craig Armstrong and AR Rahman.

These trailers are why I love movies and music, and when you put them together you can make something very powerful.

  1. The problem is...none of those movies appeal to me...now Waitress, Young Victoria...then I'm with you!

  2. I watched all three of your trailers; they were intriguing. I also enjoy trailers before a movie - just not the ads. Making trailers is certainly an art form - oftentimes better than the actual movie.
